In our 2019 predictions for Latin America, we expected Didi to expand into a few more markets in Latin America.
It seems that is just what Didi is planning to do. Over the weekend, Reuters broke an ‘exclusive story’ exposing Didi’s plans for Peru & Chile.
In fact, the clues are not that difficult to find, even if you do not follow the news sites for their exclusive stories. LinkedIn gives plenty of clues:

Both Chile and Peru are good markets for ride hailing, where Easy Taxi (a company I used to work for) scored good wins (profitability!!!).
However, both are relatively small, with a combined population of less than 40% of that of Mexico.
Another jewel, Colombia (population 50 million), is probably also in the plans.
