As Momentum Academy is preparing for a number of China digital leadership immersion programmes for August to October, we have pleasantly discovered that WeChat Pay and Alipay are finally open to visiting foreigners with only foreign issues debit/credit cards.
There are some caveats, though, such as a 3% fee applied by both WeChat Pay and Alipay, as well as a daily limit imposed.
Nonetheless, as a visitor you can finally enjoy the ease of prevalent QR payment in China.
