You might remember on Feb 13 China reported the highest single day jump on Covid-19 cases, with more 14,840 cases confirmed. The change was due to a new method of confirmation: using CT scans of patient’s lungs instead of lab diagnosis.

This solved the problem of testing kits availability and reliability (especially false negatives), as well as the time taken to do the test. A group of AI researchers have quickly put that method into a solution, and recorded better results than clinicians’ own reading of CT scan images.

The solution is now used by 6 hospitals in China. The developers are open to more collaborations with more facilities that are facing the pressure of speedy and accurate diagnosis.

If you represent a medical facility with such needs, please feel free to contact us ([email protected]) and we will be happy to link you with the creators of the solution.
