Around this time last year, our Dubai-based colleague Yating went to Riyadh to attend the Future Investment Initiative, the annual gathering organised by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

She wrote this analysis.

Subsequently in December 2018, we issued 10 predictions for Middle East 2019, many of which have already become true.

A lot of changes have happened since – while we are glad that our predictions were accurate, we were also anxious about missed opportunities we could have tapped into in the Middle East region.
